Writer and singer Shairda Kimiko shares thoughts and stories about faith, social pressure and feminism in today's culture through her music.  Tunes like "25" and "Irrelevance" lure listeners with jazzy melodies in a soulful tone.  As a hallmark in her music, backpack hip-hop inspired beats nod to influences like Lauryn Hill, TLC, and Kirk Franklin; the element adds and edgy and fun-loving energy both the sound and creative process.  Finally, after years of sonic development with a hometown music group Kimiko has recently popped onto the music scene, she is ready to showcase and fine-tune her talent.
